Gosberton Parish Council meeting was held at the Public Hall on Monday 23rd January.
There were no members of the Public for the Open Forum and Dist Cllr Clark and Internal Auditor D Staff were also in attendance.
PCSO Abbotts advised us of the various crimes in the area.
He advised that once again people where having their catalytic converters stolen and that Rylatt Ford were holding a clinic
so that people could have them marked for identification purposes, as a form of deterrent.
He also advised that Gosberton and Quadring Community Panel had been disbanded.
Several areas where there continues to be a problem with speeding or parking where brought to his attention
and he will liaise with PC Coulson regarding the issue.
The Clerk advised that to date she had not received a reply to the Parish Council request for a meeting so that various sites
can be visited where there continues to be issues and also that there has been no mention of the two man team visiting the Parish as in recent years.
They have been able to carry out smaller jobs. The Clerk will therefore contact Highways again.
4 planning applications were discussed and the results of three previous applications were reported.
One application for discussion related to the proposed crematorium on Surfleet Road and it was felt that whilst there is a need for one in the area,
that they should be able to find a more suitable location for it.
The Clerk confirmed that South Holland District Council have now adopted the electronic system for planning applications and the new procedures
were discussed following Councillor Noble’s attendance on the course.
A letter had been received from Marjorum Beehive Association advising that they will be holding a Village Olympics on Saturday 28th July
and asked if the playing field in Gosberton Risegate could be used for this purpose.
The Parish Council were very happy to agree to this, subject to their own insurance being in place.
Again the issue of dog bins not being emptied and rubbish bins not being emptied was discussed and the Clerk will contact South Holland District Council.
The next meeting which will be the Annual Parish Meeting will take place at the Public Hall on Monday 5th March at 7.30pm.
